I'm not making any judgements on Ameichi's orientation, but I think the article above is idiotic. If you buy into the author's reasoning, then they should just combine male and female showers together since 'it's not such a big deal'.

I have no problem with gays other than 1) just shut up about it, I don't want to know and 2) I'm still against gays adopting.

Other than that, fine. Screw who you want.

But, yes, it's different in a lockeroom where you don't want to be changing or showering with someone who might be attracted to you. Yes, that's why we have male and female bathroom and lockerooms. Duh.

I'm not saying I have a good solution but it's not "no big deal".

Real World

You know mav, that's an interesting position. Where I personally don't care what someone wants to do with themselves, it is valid for some male, or even female athletes, to feel uncomfortable around homosexuals in their locker room (or shower if you prefer). I never real thought of it that way. It's interesting anyway.
