Default WOW! Bush gets deal with North Korea!

Like Bush or not, this is a VERY big deal... How he was ever able to get North Korea to agree to nuclear disarmament is amazing.

If N. Korea keeps the deal, this is very good news. Where I really give the Bush Admin. credit is for insisting on multi-party talks versus a 1-on-1.

Bush didn't do anything. This was Russia/China/South Korea's deal, with the US jumping in for a photo op and claiming credit for the headlines back home.

Give credit where it's due... Russia, China, and S. Korea wouldn't have even been involved in the talks had Bush not refused bilateral talks.

Anything bad that happens, even if Bush has nothing to do with it, "happened on Bush's watch". So say the Libs. It works both ways.

OK, good job by Bush to bring in the countries around North Korea who actually brokered the deal. At least he didn't dress up in a pilot suit this time for a photo op.

This new deal basically re-continues Clinton's old deal, which was broken by Bush in 2002 by declaring the North Koreans part of an Axis of Evil. So nice job by Bush to go back to the status quo after pissing a lot of people off over there and making no major positive changes from before.

The real problem with Clinton's deal was that we never delivered on it. KEDO was supposed to build light-water reactors for North Korea, but because of mismanagement never did. Let's hope we can keep our side of the bargain this time.

Yeah, it's not quite as good as the deal Clinton got, and of course the North Koreans reneged after Bush started antagonizing them earlier in his term. But, any act of diplomacy by Bush is something to celebrate. Bush is giving them twice what Clinton promised.

This headline is so misleading. A deal was made, but putting Bush in the thread title, as if he did anything other than antagonize the N.Koreans, is misleading.
