OK John

this sorta reminds me of jury selection before a trial... the defense has already used a "strike" against Biden... McCain is now gonzo for the prosecution... bu'bye John...

In two years, with Bush still in the White House, we will still be fighting in Iraq. The only question is, whether we will also be fighting in Iran. The war will most likely be the factor in selecting a candidate. Throw out the staunch Rep. and Dem, which leaves the moderates, Independents, etc. Are these people going to vote for a candidate who is pro-war? That is assuming that nothing greatly postitive happens in Iraq, which is highly likely. The Democratic candidate will be opposed to the war. If the Republican party wants to continue to push the war effort, they will be looking at not only a Dem. in the White House, but a possible filibuster-less minority, which is not a good thing.

It's hard to figure out because politicians LIE all the time. Bush promised to be a uniter, not a divider, a moderate who brought people together, a person hesitant to use force, but he has been the exact opposite of all these things.

Politicians will say whatever they can that is believable based on their record in order to get elected. What they say has no connection with what they end up doing in office since so many powerful lobbies and groups end up influencing the job anyways.

Now would be a good time to vote your conscience. Forget "enabling" one party or another to win. There's no difference between the parties. Try it - you'll like it!
