In The Absence Of Law And Order Society Will Surely Destroy Itself

What has troubled me more and more over these past 30 years (and more) is the increased politicization of our national state. It seems politicians simply cannot restrain themselves when dealing with national issues, and this is wrong.

I would like to see, just once, a politician from either side who says, "Yes, we messed up on this or that issue, 'we' being both my party and the opposite party." In fact, it would be a healthy step toward healing the insidious -- even deadly -- divide that has developed in recent decades.

We need UNITY not division.
