Bull***** Harry...Because of her, and others like her,American lives were saved, you friggin fool.
Maybe some of the ways she went about it were wrong, I dont know, but it was her intent to save Americans and there can never be any fault in that.
You need a wake up call on the truth and the fact that nothing is more important, NOTHING HARRY, than saving American lives that would be lost for NOTHING.
Wake up Harry, I know you really arent that dumb.
To each his own "I hate the B!tch"

EXACTLY. I do believe that she went a little too far with her trip to Hanoi, but her intent was good.
Yeah, kinda like Jeffrey Dalmer feeding the homeless with human body parts. He might have gone a little too far, but his intent was good.

"The most difficult subjects can be explained to the most slow-witted man if he has not formed any idea of them already; but the simplest thing cannot be made clear to the most intelligent man if he is firmly persuaded that he knows already, without a shadow of doubt, what is laid before him." But, by your comment, Imust assume that SAVING AMERICAN LIVES THAT WOULD HAVE DIED FOR NOTHING is secondary to your backing of an ignorant moron who has sent them to die for lies, deceit, and distortions.
YOU REALLY DONT CARE HOW MANY AMERICAN LIVES ARE LOST, DO YOU, AS LONG AS ONE OF THEM ISNT YOU OR A MEMBER OF YOUR FAMILY, RIGHT?
My brother is a disabled vet. He served from '89-93 in the 501st Army Airborne. We thought he'd see action in Gulf War one. The war was over so quickly, he didn't. I do worry and feel for anyone who is sent into combat. I've been on record as saying I wouldn't have started tis war in April of 2003. The problem is, once it was started, there are causes and effects that follow. Using those to determine my view of the current war, I've come to the conclusion that failure would have seriously grave effects. Therefore, I support success. I couldn't care less how we got into this war at this point, and in the end, I'm sure all that stuff will sort itself out. If the war was indeed based on a lie, then I hope the liars are held accountable. Regardless, it doesn't change the reality that is the war in Iraq.

WTF does any of that have to do with Jane Fonda being a scumbag, POS douche?
What she did helped attract attention to the anti-war movement in the 60s, and now she's controversial enough that she's attracting extra attention to today's anti-war march. That's her value. If it wasn't for people like her, the righties would have let thousands more young Americans die in Vietnam. She killed no one, but the pro-war hawks killed 60,000 Americans in a hopeless war. (China used to say Vietnam is backed by an army of 200 million.)

Who started our involvement in Vietnam?

Actually it goes back to Eisenhower (and the French), but Johnson is really the one who made it into a mess.
And, if you'd pardon the conspiracy theory, Kennedy wes going to pull the plug, and it got him killed by the MIC.
No, I'm not wearing a tin foil pyramid hat.....

So again, I'll ask, who started it?

Let me terach you something. While Iadmire your reasoning, there can be NO success in this battle in Iraq. It can only get worse, and it can only expand, and all we will ever get out of it are body bags.
We have no business there, and we never will, at least no militarily...and, perhaps in no way at all.
Bush has seen to it that our presence in that regioun of the world will NEVER be tolerated...so, let me educate you a little, WE CAN NOT WIN A MILITARY WAR IN IRAQ, OR ANYWHERE IN THE MUSLIM WORLD...
Americans have died, and will die, FOR NOTHING..and the sooner you accept it, the sooner American lives willbe saved.
you know there is an old saying.."Two wrongs don't make a right."
We were wrong in going to Iraq and if we stay, it will be the second wrong..and it willnever be turned into one right.
Sayings like that come from human history, and they are always proven to be correct.
HOW MANY MORE WASTED AMERICAN LIVES IS ENOUGH FOR YOU?
NEM, I admire your passion and all, but I simply disagree with your postion. I think it's noble to not want war, or to want our troops home. Unfortunately, we live in a world where there isn't always a happy ending. I don't think people on the anti-war side are evil or idiotic or anything, I just think they're wrong about the "current" situation/course of action. That's all.
