Wait a minute. You are defending the right of Hollywood to produce and make public movies about raping a 12-year old, but now you are pulling out movies done by Bassinger and saying these movies were bad??? Did you take bi-polar pills this morning??
Anyway, as has been said in argument, movies are movies, but using a woman for her best years and then dumping her on the roadside is pretty low in my book. Even if she was a prostitute or a porno film maker, if he lived with her during her best years he's one nasty selfish s.o.b. for dumping her when she hits 40.

Yes, I do, vaguely. I was about nine or ten when that happened. I watched it with my parents and older sister. They only showed the upper part of his body. This kind of thing wasn't even registering with me then.
But later, when Elvis was in his late 30's, oh man, the women -- ESPECIALLY the older women -- were going nutsy when he took to the stage. The atmosphere was super-charged with sexual tension.
