We all know how Patters truly feels. He's a save the children guy by any means possible. He preaches equality, kindness, compassion, and save the children, but when push comes to shove, he's totally unabashed at pissing on any principles or rules he holds others to, so long as it benefits his own personal agenda. Whether it's children being moslested so he can exploit it for political gain, or whether its counting illegal aliens to secure federal tax dollars we don't deserve. Accountability? Nah....

Real World, I regard your defense of the Republican coverup of Foley as peculiar, to say the least. Apparently, you think criticizing Foley can only be political opportunism and thus exploits children. From that perspective, I suppose we should always keep quiet about child abuse, lest it benefits us politically. It actually sounds like you're trying to protect the child abusers by accusing those who expose them as exploiters. Do you think a police officer only goes after child abusers because he wants a promotion? I hope that's not what you mean, but it's how your point comes across.

Second, for both you and Wistah, while it might be noble from a libertarian point of view for a state to turn down federal tax dollars, who would you ask to bare the burden of that? State homeland security? State programs that feed and help the poor? Drivers who depend on good roads? R&D at biotech companies, technology companies, and universities? The people who depend on clean water, fishing, etc.? Subsidies and monies for infrastructure repair and for low-income housing? What specifically are you willing to give up?
