Default Pizza for Pesos!

Quote:
DALLAS, Jan 8 (Reuters Life!) - Mexican pesos won't buy you much north of the border. But from Monday they'll buy you a pizza.

A Dallas-based pizza chain which caters to the Hispanic community is accepting the Mexican currency at all of its 59 U.S. stores starting on Monday, giving the greenback some unusual competition at the cash register.

"Unlike many other businesses for us it makes sense. Our stores are located in predominately Hispanic communities and so the majority of our customers are Hispanic," said Andrew Gamm, director of brand development for Pizza Patron.

"We know that a large number of them travel back and forth between the U.S. and Mexico and consequently have some pesos left over in their pocket. The pizza business is extremely competitive and we thought this was a way to position ourselves in relation to our competitors," he told Reuters
Let me guess... this is another sign of America's downfall. We're being invaded!

Of course only legal Mexicans would have pesos since illegal ones can't travel home to Mexico, but don't let that stop you righties from hating it anyway!

What does that mean? Today it's Mexicans eating pizza, tomorrow they'll march on Washington, execute our leaders, and raise the Mexican flag?

The Scummy ACLU sues a Cop for detaining Criminals

Isn't that why we hire Cops, to "Detain Criminals"

http://www.projo.com/news/content/RI...Q.2c7d941.html

This politically correct ***** has to stop somewhere, Khrushev was right, America is destroying itself from within, you all have lived to see the begining of the end of America as we knew it.

When the invaders have reached the point of control the first thing to go will be the US Constitution the very thing that allowed them the power to destroy it, then all the ACLU Pony Tailed Lawyers will be rounded up and shot

I don't get it, does that article have anything to do with pizza?

Edit: Though now that I've read your link, I say sue away. That cop should be doing jail time, you can't just stop people and ask them for their papers. That was Germany circa 1938, not US circa 2007.

It's not like those that come here illegally don't bring them right. 20 million illegals, nah, they don't bring when they cross the border.

Any Republican should applaud this decision as smart business, right?

Unless you're a racist Republican (many on this board) who wants 'them dang wetbacks to use 'Merican money

Unless you're a Christian Republican (many in general), because you don't believe that adaptability is the key to survival (except when talking about your own religion's narrow escape of oblivion before taking on Pagan rituals)
'If dollars were good enough for Jesus, they're good enough for Mexicans'

Unless you're a big businesses Republican (only actual legislators who have been bought out), which should have you crying out for 'fair trade'
'Wal-Mart simply can't compete because it doesn't accept pesos'

Unless you're in the Republican minority (a minority) who all fled to Libertarianism a few years ago
'crickets chirping and Pat Buchanan howling in the distance'

So much for that first sentence...

They can only cross the border once, how much money do you think they bring, a few million? It's the legals that travel between the US and Mexico and bring in money.

BOT, I honestly couldn't care less what a store accepts as currency. When I've been in Canada & Mexico, lots of places take dollars. I really don't have a problem with what the chain wants to do here.
