According to the neicons their opinions were misrepresented, they responded to the hit job by Vanity Fair in a National Review Online symposium.

Have read the NRO article as well, I do not understand why would you consent to an interview by Vanity Fair unless you are a media whore?? If this source was distrusted by them before, why would they think they have changed and given this info a week before the election??

None of it makes any sense, except it was leaked too early and there is now a weak attempt at damage control. It looks to me that these guys are trying to distance and exhonerate themselves in the eyes of America.
