Lol, are you playing along with Borat or do you really not get it? Sasha Baron Cohen (the comedian who plays Borat) is anything but racist and useless, his characters (Borat and the other 2 personas Cohen plays on Da Ali G show) are very purpuseful: they point out bigotry, and especially how ignorance plays into bigotry. By playing his aloof, ignorant character he gets bigots to admit bigoted things to him, like the people in the bar in Arizona who sang along "throw the Jew down the well, so my country can be free", or the priest who said Jews would go to hell.

Borat is BRILLIANT.

I feel somehow tainted because I now know what Borat is. I think I was better off when I could only just barely recognize the main guy on the Da Ali G show and when I though Sasha Cohen was a female figure skater; but I was ok with this act when Andrew Dice Clay did it as a guy from Brooklyn, so I guess I'll have to just hold my nose and continue to avoid Showtime.

Sasha Baron Cohen is a comedian, like Rush Limbaugh.

Its also kinda sad that neoconservatives don't see the humor in Stephen Colbert. But he has Bill Oreiley's schtick down 100%....

the differences between Borat/Colbert and Limbaugh/Oreiley is that Rush and Bill O have no clue that what they are doing is comedic brilliance!
