Clinton appointed Judge gives terrorist light sentence
Another Clinton flunky in the US District Court in Manhattan let a convicted terrorist, Lynne Stewart off with a 24 month sentence instead of the thrity years that the federal sentencing guidelines calls for.
Amazing! This women helped kill hundreds of innocent people, and is still free on bond!
Ah Bill CLinton, still screwing America!

You're a cop, you know that if you're going to accuse her of killing people, you have to say who. Or are you just assuming something she did killed people... you know, being full of s--t?
Re: Clinton appointed Judge gives terrorist light sentence
Bill & Hill love these people, Pant Suit Hillary is still working on trying to get a bill through that would allow all of America's "Convicts" that are now in jail the right to vote.
The "Rotten Clintons" love these people because they are all Democrats, the Murderers, Thieves, Rapists, Pedophiles, Con Men, and your run of the mill Scum Bag are all democrats because they know the Democrat will CODDLE & SLOBBER over them.
The "Rotten Clintons" don't care about the Prisoners Right To Vote all they are interested in is "GETTING THE PRISONER VOTE".
Bastards. "thats right Harry, they stink"

On or about November 17, 1997, six assassins shot and stabbed a group of tourists visiting an archeological site in Luxor,. Egypt. Fifty-eight foreign tourists were killed along with four Egyptians, some of whom were police officers. Before making their exit, the terrorists scattered leaflets espousing their support for the Islamic Group and calling for the release of Abdel Rahman. Also, the torso of one victim was slit by the terrorists and a leaflet calling for Abdel Rahman's release was inserted.
18. On or about November 18, 1997, a statement issued in the name of the Islamic Group said, "A Gama'a unit tried to take prisoner the largest number of foreign tourists possible … with the aim of securing the release of the general emir. (commander) of the Gama'a al-Islamiyya, Dr. Abdel-Rahman." The statement continued, "But the rash behavior and irresponsibility of government security forces with regard to tourist and civilian lives led to the high number of fatalities." The statement aIso warned that the Islamic Group “will continue its military operations as long as the regime does not respond to our demands.” The statement listed the most important demands as “the establishment of God’s law, cutting relations with the Zionist entity (Israel) … and the return of our sheik[h] and emir to his land.”

And here is how she helped to kill these people....
Stewart's May 16, 2000 Signing of an Agreement to Abide by the Terms of the Special Administrative Measures
i. On or about May 16, 2000, STEWART signed an affirmation in which she agreed “to abide by [the] terms” of the SAMs then in effect on Abdel Rahman. In particular, STEWART agreed that she would “only be accompanied by translators for the
purpose of communicating with inmate Abdel Rahman concerning legal matters" and that she would not "use [her] meetings, correspondence, or phone calls with Abdel Rahman to pass messages between third parties (including, but not limited to, the media) and Abdel Rahman.”
The May 2000 Prison Visit
j. On or about May 19, 2000, during a prison visit to Abdel Rahman by STEWART and YOUSRY, YOUSRY told Abdel Rahman and. STEWART about the kidnappings by the Abu Sayyaf terrorist group in the Philippines and Abu Sayyaf’s demand to free Abdel Rahman, to which STEWART replied, “Good for them.” STEWART then told Abdel Rahman that she believed he could be released from prison if the government in Egypt were changed. STEWART also told Abdel Rahman that events like the Abu Sayyaf kidnappings in the Philippines are important, although they “may be futile,” because it is “very, very crucial” that Abdel Rahman not be forgotten as a hero of the “Muiahadeen” (Jihad warriors).
There are several other instances, when she helped terrorist, and the mere fact that she has not been shot for treason, is beyond me. Bascially she let this man communictae freely from prison with his terrorists friends.

Re: Clinton appointed Judge gives terrorist light sentence
I am not gonna argue the merits of this case as it is way too complicated and beyond my understanding, but will point out that there is more to this case than meets the eye... on one hand this woman is either an operative or was stupid enough to get duped on this case, while on the other the attorney-client privilege and all that it entails may violate the long term standards used by our legal system.
Here is an opposing view of what you post, it is biased, but an alternative view of this whole mess.. there is no denial of what you post, but right now it is so difficult to get anything unbiased I find it is best to read both sides and somehow you come up with a modicum of truth.
The eavesdropping on attorney-client communications that led to this prosecution would have been unimaginable before September 11. I will argue that this eavesdropping has a serious cost in inhibiting defense attorney's ability to zealously represent their clients. This cost is of a constitutional dimension: The Sixth Amendment's right to counsel cannot be served while the government is a third party present at attorney-client meetings.
Another problematic aspect of the Stewart prosecution is how far the definition of support for terrorism was stretched. Stewart never provided any financial support, weaponry -- or any other concrete aid -- for any act of terrorism. No act of terrorism is alleged to have resulted from her actions.
Stewart's supposed support for terrorism instead consisted of aiding her client in 2000 by giving a press release to Reuters News Service in Cairo, Egypt, and of being present when her co-defendants allegedly aided her client in writing a series of letters.
On October 31, 2001, Attorney General John Ashcroft, secretly amended the SAM regulations - without notice to the public. As amended, the regulations allow the Bureau of Prisons to conduct videotape and audiotape surveillance with respect to attorneys' communications with people in federal custody.

Re: Clinton appointed Judge gives terrorist light sentence
Instead of using an interpreter, she let a terrorists speak freely with him, while she "pretended" to be involved in the conversations.
She also issued press releases on his behalf.
This woman is a LAWYER, and a very celebrated one at that, so there is no wat that she can say she was "duped".
She committed treason against her country, was convicted of it, and this pantywiast judge let her off.

Re: Clinton appointed Judge gives terrorist light sentence
I guess you are a legal scholar, something I am not, all that is being said is there is two sides to every story and it is everyone's responsibility to seek out the truth or some modicum thereof.

Re: Clinton appointed Judge gives terrorist light sentence
Tell me you do not think that this is treason.......
ee. On or about July 13, 2001, during a prison visit to Abdel Rahman in Minnesota by STEWART and YOUSRY, YOUSRY told Abdel Rahman that SATTAR had been informed that the U.S.S. Cole was bombed on Abdel Rahman’s behalf and that SATTAR was asked to convey to the United States government that more terrorist acts would follow if the United States government did not free Abdel Rahman. While YOUSRY was informing Abdel Rahman about this scheme, STEWART actively concealed the conversation between YOUSRY and Abdel Rahman from the prison guards by, among other things, shaking a water jar and tapping on the table while stating that she was “just doing covering noise.”
ff. On or about July 14, 2001, during the second day of a prison visit to Abdel Rahman in Minnesota by STEWART and YOUSRY, YOUSRY read Abdel Rahman letters and Abdel Rahman dictated responsive letters to YOUSRY.
