Will the United States be run by martial law or a totalitarian regime in 15 years? Here are my reasons..

I am deepy concerned by the fact that now in the US:
- As of tomorrow, anyone can be unlawfully imprisoned, with no appeal, at the discretion of the President.
- Intelligence and wiretaps can be gathered on anyone at the discretion of powerful officials.
- Secret torture prisons and detainee camps exist, and are allowed by the US.
- From Iraq/Afghanistan, we have encouraged more people in the Middle East to have reason to hate the United States, and have motivated a new younger generation of terrorists to harm us.
- We screwed up containment of North Korea, who can't wait to nuke us.
- Russia, Iran, Cuba, Venezuela, and China have shared interests in countering American strength.
- We could be on the verge of economic collapse based on the housing bubble, diminishing role of $ as reserve currency, huge trade deficit, huge federal deficit, and rising industries in India and China.
- FEMA has a clause in which during major disasters or emergencies, the Consitution and our government is suspended, and FEMA and the military take control of the country through martial law.

Given all of these facts, what is the likelihood that some sort of catastrophic event happens on US soil, triggering FEMA, and results in the end of the United States as we know it?

Read the law, and not the left's version, the actual bill, Congress can not pass any law, which defies the constitution, in which due process et al is protected, this is the hysterical left, lying again.

You are slightly twisting the topic of this thread. This is not about the Military Commissions Act specifically, but more about several issues, including FEMA's martial law provision, that could potentially combine very soon, creating a perfect storm of disastrous effects.

1) Ted Kennedy will still be a fat, drunken blowhard whose actions led to the death of Mary Jo Kopechne.

2) John Kerry (who served in Vietnam) will still be an elitist, condescending snob married to an elitist, condescending snob.

3) Duval Patrick will still be prowling for rapists and murderers to set free, or at the very least, get them tuna sandwiches at the right temperature and basketballs properly inflated.

4) Rap music will still suck.

5) Entire American cities will become majority Muslim and/or Hispanic, tossing out the Northern European culture that created and built the country. Liberals will rejoice, but from afar, for they wouldn't be caught dead actually living in one of these multi-cultural paradises, not when they can live on Nantucket, or in the Hamptons or along the California coast line.

6) Tom Brady will be elected into the Pro Football Hall of Fame on the first ballot.

7) Cindy Sheehan will still be a moonbat, as will Michael Moore, Rosie O'Donnell, and many of the loony left posters on this and other message boards.

8) Many people will get married at 6:19 in the evening so they can say they were married at 18:19, 2021.

9) Sylvester Stallone finishes filming of Rocky XXXX.

10) The Rolling Stones will embark on yet another tour, with Mick and Keith in wheelchairs, backed up by Roger and Pete of The Who, who will sing their anthem "Hope I die before I get really really old."
