Looks like another Congressman is getting ready for some serious spin...
kinda like I was trying to help out a boy in need. Or how about when I was a kid an older man helped me and it made my world so much better. Or how about George told me to do it.
A Congressman has been accused of sending questionable emails to a sixteen-year old Capitol page, RAW STORY has learned.
Reports circulated on the Internet earlier this week, indicating that in private emails, Congressman Mark Foley (R-FL) had requested photographs of the page, asked what he wanted for his birthday, and inquired about his age. The emails may be viewed below.
Foley's office has told ABC News that it is their policy to keep pictures of former interns so that they could be remembered by anyone looking to recommend one. However, ABC also reports that the page did not work in Foley's office.
A subsequent investigation by RAW STORY discovered that the addresses on the emails were indeed those of Foley and a now-seventeen year old boy, who forwarded them to a fellow staffer. There is no overtly sexual communication in Foley's emails, and the age of consent in Washington, DC is sixteen.

GJ say it ain't so ... you are crossing the line into Mikeyville. We need all the good posting lefties that we have...the fringe left have enough with the tagteam of NEMikey.
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Rep. Mark Foley, a Republican from Florida, resigned Friday from the House, a day after a former congressional page questioned e-mails Foley had sent to him.
Foley apparently sent the e-mails in August 2005, when the male page was 16 years old.
"Today I have delivered a letter to the speaker of the House informing him of my decision to resign from the U.S. House of Representatives, effective today. I thank the people of Florida's 16th Congressional District for giving me the opportunity to serve them for the last twelve years; it has been an honor," Foley said in a written statement.
"I am deeply sorry and I apologize for letting down my family and the people of Florida I have had the privilege to represent."
In the e-mails, which were obtained by the Washington-based Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, Foley discussed a second page, saying "I just emailed [him]... hes such a nice guy... acts much older than his age... hes in great shape... i am just finished riding my bike on a 25 mile journey now heading to the guy... whats school like for you this year?"
Foley then asked the page for a picture.
It keeps getting worse for the GOP.

With a resignation this quick, with no posturing methinks there is more to this, hopefully there is some type of investigation of this dude... in the end looks like he will need some chapstick and kneepads.

Then you aren't paying attention, while ther are corrupt pubbies as well as dems. The pubbies get rid of the criminals, the dems defend them and help them stay in office. See Torrecelli (who wasn't forced out till he tanked in the polls), Congressman Jefferson, Sen Menendez, Braney Frank....dems close ranks around their crooks. pubbies get rid of theirs.

What it tells me is that there is some seriously humiliating stuff out there he was hoping would go away... And, sure enough, if you go to drudgereport.com or abcnews.com you can read some disgusting transcripts. I only saw the lowlights on the top of drudgereport - I didn't have the stomache to go through them line by line.

Once again a thread that starts out as a non-partisan thread descends into the world of polarizationand attacks on the messenger, there was no criticism of any thing on the right about this..it has to do with a pedophile masquerading as a congressman.
BTW, did you see that he was the chair of the house caucus on missing and exploited children, guess it was easier to find victims this way. Also it is reported this that Dennis Hastert knew about this and did nothing, well it did not go away and if proven...can you spell c_o_n_s_p_i_r_a_c_y.
