Maybe he should just go back to picking his nose in public, preferably at baseball games rather then the White House.

I have found no evidence of a "Lovenstein Institute" in Scranton, Pennsylvania or anywhere else. There's no trace of a "Dr. Werner R. Lovenstein, world-renowned sociologist" or "Professor Patricia F. Dilliams, world-respected psychiatrist" — not in this world, at any rate. All of the facts and figures appear to have been fabricated. Some versions of the text claim it was published by the Associated Press, which is certainly not the case.

The apparent source of this work of fiction was www.linkydinky.com, which is home, appropriately enough, to a humor mailing list.

About the authors: Cristina L. Borenstein and Lana Taamar are both recently off the campaign trail where they served as receptionists for the Pennsylvania chapter of Gore For President, Inc., and have co-written the eBook Gore Got Gored. Together they publish the The Pennsylvania Court Observer which has a circulation of 5.

Dr. Lovenstein lives in a mobile home in Scranton, Pennsylvania with his long time companion Patricia F. Dilliams. When the two are not publishing reports for their Lovenstein Institute, they run an internet business www.collegedegreesforsale.com 136955

This reminds me of NEM's link to made up numbers for state IQs. Whatever. He was elected twice so if he's too dumb, the joke's on us.

Unfortunately, it is no joke for 2,550 dead American soldiers.

Funny thing is...and we all know it...there is a big difference between book smarts and street smarts. Jimmy Carter was very smart, but had little to no street smarts. Clinton had both and he usually used them to hus advantage.

IMO I think Bush has average intelligence at least and probably above average. But, he has tremendous street smarts. yes, he has made mistakes...but opeople who know him say he doesn't usually miss a trick. His goofball mannerisms is a ploy to make people at ease...then he strikes and strikes quick and hard.

He's not the greatest public speaker NEM ... but the world is full of smart people who can't speak or write well. Not sticking up for Bush, just saying that public speaking is not any kind of an indicator.
