I've posted Novak's version here, do you have a link that contradicts that. Novak said on Fox that Harlow said they'd perfer that he not publish. but wasn't strong and DID NOT say she was covert. They probably wanted to avoid the embarressement of Plame sending Wilson who was unqualified. WHo would want that sort of politically motivated nepotism revealed.

Harry, Leahy was not in the circle that knew the information about Valerie Plame. However leaky he is, he can't be blamed for this one.

The treasonous part was an unelected bureaucrat sending a family member to undermine the policy of elected officals and doing it under false premises. Remember Wilson lied and claimed the the VP's office sent him, it was his wife. Why did Wilson lie? What was his motivation? Why didn't he file an offical report?

I know, my point was there are "leakers" all over Washington.

The NY Times is notorious for it but only against "Conservatives" if they find something bad against the "Neo Lib Dems" they hide it.

Leaking is a two way street and always will be.

I think you're misusing the word "leaker," Harry. The NY Times isn't a leaker. It is an organ for leakers, both Democrats and Republicans. For instance, the White House used it extensively, through Judy Miller, to lay out its case for war.

What, by the way is a "neo lib dem"? The term "neo-conservative" has meaning (and it isn't intrinsically perjorative). It refers to a group of intellectuals whose roots were in liberalism, but who have changed their minds, but neo-lib--what's that?

Exactly, and they had this planned from the beginning, him and his wife were acting as agents of Al Gore, not the United States.
