There never was ANY link at all...!!!

That was said by Michael Scheuer on CSPAN today....He has had 22 years in the CIA and was head of the Bin Laden unit for 4. I will take his word on that and he's a very conservative Republican.

So he is the guy who failed to catch OBL and is having his unit disbanded, I'm sure he has no axe to grind. He would have been involved in developing the info used in the OBL 1998 indictment BTW. so was he lying in 1998 or is he lying now?

Actually according to Bush the unit is NOT being disbanded...

Do you have a reference for you 'quote' My guess is that Bush said we were persuing OBL and never mentioned this specific group. I would bet this CIA wasn't the only froup tracking Binny.

BTW how bout my question NEM couldn't answer. If he was in charge of tracking Binny and the US goverment inidcted Binny in 1998 and specifically cited his link to OBL where was he? Was he lying then or now.

Of course I'll bet you took whatever comment he made out of context and twisted it to you biases.

Here's an article he wrote in the Washington Times...I am sure his segment on Washington Journal will be repeated a few times today AND/OR available on line.

My belief is he believes he thinks politics should be checked at the door when it comes to national security..and I think he sees that NOT happening.
