Actually, that's not quite so. The ONLY terrorist attack occured on his watch, and the one that occured on Clinton's watch was just one month into HIS administration so , for all intents and purposes, that goes back to Bush I.
What happens when the first suicide bomber kills himself and 20 Americans in front of the John Hanco*k building? Or in Rockefeller center. Will you then say Bush is to blame, ELORocks?
I doubt it. Here's an example.
When reagan was president, we had a good economy, towards the end of 2nd. term, the stock market crashed with a 300 point loss, interest rates went up, home sales and construction crashed, buisness had massive layoffs, bankruptcy hit record levels, ect. ect. ect.
Under bush I the market improved some, then went south into a recession with massive budget and national deficits.
Clinton comes in tha economy slowly improves, and by 96 were in a boom and the deficits are being reduced .
Who gets all the credit for the 90's, reagan. You know that when another terrorist attack happens in the usa, it will be clintons fault and no one else's. At least in some peoples partisan minds.
There are a couple of reasons why we haven't been hit with terrorists after 9/11. The terrorists typically take years to plot and execute their acts. Treasury Secretary O'Neil did a great job of shutting down the financial avenues of the terrorists. Shame he was fired. If you think the reason for us not being hit with another attack has to do with the Bush Administration of protecting us, your mistaken. The Department of Homeland Security is a spin machine which top level individuals are more concerned with how they are perceived then what they are doing to protect our country (see my thread on Homeland Insecurity). Didn't our Commander In Chief want to secure our ports by contracting with a United Arab Emirates-based company. Yea, him and Brownie are the gold dust twins.
