How many times have I seen attack after attack of the "Rovians, neo-cons, brainwashed Republicans etc..." yet the threads remain open for pages upon pages but yet a thread where a liberal is called out over something OBVIOUS and whoosh, fellow liberals swoop to the rescue and save him from drowing in his own pablum.
Patters, this is a disgrace. Mikey was clearly talking out of his behind and needs to account for himself. Anything less makes a mockery of this forum and if you continue to defend him and stifle free thought then you might as well have this forum shut down.

Your above post would have quite a bit more credibility had you stood up to the handful of posters who equate liberals with terrorists.
We want fairness, let's start in our own backyard.
Take a stand when the next poster calls a liberal names, show as much sensitivity when the next wrong happens, no matter which side it comes from.

Exactly..... I cant count how many times I have been called a Saddam Lover, Anti American, Traitor, America Hater, etc.....and worse.... words that I find truly disgusting and hateful.
Most of us, for example, use the words "brainwashed, Rovians, rightys, neo cons, to describe the other side....Wow, what filthy words to call someone.
I will admit that I use much more descriptive words to describe Bush, and his fascist administration.... but that is not calling anyone in here those same names.
In fact, the word "fascist" seems to be quite common in America, these days, NATIONWIDE to describe this administration.
This is mild, very mild,compared to the racist and bigoted tones one poster uses, all the time, to describe liberals.......

What I read in that post where Mikey's first words were as vile and hateful and off the mark as anything he said.."A pox on both your houses"...
While not perfect...none of us are...I think Patters has done a good job being moderator.
The job is tough and thankless. It opens him up to much criticism when he is just trying to do his job. I'm not happy when he appears to go out of his way to appease the left here. But, perhaps he is not appeasing them at all...it may just be my perception that he is.
SO I PUBLICLY VOUCH FOR PATTERS AS AN EXCELLANT MODERATOR.
I simply selfishly ask that threads created that have no discussion value be deleted. Perhaps a thread rule would be in order. All threads posting a link should be required to have at least a paragraph of discussion or be deleted.
