Now getting back to this war. People can dissent about it and make their views known without giving our enemies comfort. I do not consider Americans those who are against this war unpatriotic if they can give rational reasons for that. If it is just politics, then I do have a problem with them.

And, there are many ways to show that dissent without giving our enemies comfort or encouragement.
I agree with you that some demonstrators crossed the line in Vietnam (way over the line). I also believe there is way too much politics in the Iraq war. I don't know why it was started, too many times woven into 9/11, tied into elections, and fed to our grand juries. When people dissent with the war, they often get victimized as unpatriotic. Never mind if they were a decorated vet or a parent of a soldier. This is what troubles me. Not everyone needs to agree with one's views, they can offer a rebuttal. Too often this is when the mud starts slinging. Thanks for posting again, I respect what you have to say.

Obviously, I think protests are healthy for the country. The government, hates them because they are often directed at it. I was at what passes for a protest in NY last month and it was a couple thousand people walking down the road, holding signs, trying to raise awareness for autism. No big deal, but protest is always a good thing. The message may be negative and counter to your effort, but if protests and protesters were banned, I'd move.
Maybe hate was too strong of a word, they just annoyed me. I believe they just did it to fight capitalism under the guise of third world debt. Once again I just considered them wanna be hippies without a war to protest. Nothing against protesting, I am not convinced it works today, but I am in no way against protesting every, person in this country has that right!

NEM since PFIEL has been to Iraq he has EARNED the right to his opinion. As to the issue of 'talking points', you mentioned that in reference to PFIEL and myself. As to the term 'cut and run' well it iswhat it is, that is exactly what you and others are proposing. If the shoe fits...(how bout cliches instead?)

I also find your objection to talking points pretty funny since you usually sould like a Howard Dean hand puppet.

ANd, I give them credit, as I always have, they know what words to use to get into the minds of the brain dead....

Which is better for you..."Cut and Run" or "Stay and Die"

Which one works for you.

Its not Cut and Run, it a strategic withdrawal to get the hell out of a place in which we dont belong and SAVE AMERICAN LIVES...

But. I guess its ok with you to have them die for nothing.

HOW MANY MORE AMERICAN DEAD IS ENOUGH...HOW MAny????

You still havent answered. And, tell me, WHAT IS THE NOBLE CAUSE???

And, While your at it... WHAT IS THE MISSION?

And, let me add this one...

WHY ARE WE THERE??????

WHAT WAS THE REASON WE SENT 150,000 TROOPS TO IRAQ?

Just a few questions i cant wait to see your answers.
Well given the announcement tat the Iraqi goverment is putting forward proposals to end the insurgency, and that we are planing a withdrawl with them based on the Sunni insurgency ending: I prefer the Stay and WIN strategy.

Howard Dean is deeply saddened.
