Former Bay State Gov. Mitt Romney already has the Scott Brown pickup truck theme going. The likely 2012 presidential contender rolled up to a New Hampshire fund-raiser in a Chevy pickup - taking a page from the Senate’s newest GOP all-star.
“What, did he borrow it from (U.S. Sen.) Scott Brown?” said Andrew Smith, director of the University of New Hampshire’s political survey center. “It’s funny, because out of all the Republican candidates running for president, (Romney’s) the one that is probably the least ‘of the people.’ ”

I voted for Romney when he ran for governor here. At first, I liked what he was doing. As the years rolled along, those questions about him using MA as a stepping stone became more and more prevelent. Well, I paid attention more, and noticed that he was governing more in a manner to appeal to the nation, than he was with the interests of the people of this state in mind. Romneycare was the real nail in the coffin. At any rate, Romney is the epitomy of what I like to call "gimmick politics". That's crap that politicians do that don't deal with the root of a problem, and only serve to apply perfume to a crap stanked pig. Romney is the ultimate finger in the wind politician. A somewhat brilliant, and successful business man, but far to FOS to be taken seriously. To me at least. He's as unoriginal as they come, and this is a perfect examply of why.

it may be unfair, but I have sone skepticism of him due to the reputation his p.e. firm has -- at best difficult, at worst unethical. Perhaps that developed after his watch, but it's part of my immediate reaction to the guy.
