I actually read this piece before I read the RS article. What I got from it was "Yes, the Republican Party committed widespread fraud on the state and local level, but it probably wouldn't have altered the outcome of the election".
Not exactly debunking the RS piece. I don't think the issue is that a man who the majority of voters didn't want to be President is sitting in the Oval Office. The issue is that of the flagrant abuses of power in order to stack the deck against a candidate, and the lengths to which diehard politicos will go to to ensure their guy wins.

I have read the piece..I have issues with his "debunking"...I wonder truly if he was in another state if he would have the same opinion?? How the closeness to it may have influenced it...I would have thought he MAY have been in the thick of it all..given the many things the Sec of State did...I wonder how if at all he participated in the pre election debate?? IF at all?? I do not feel he totally rebuffs the article..

The 2000 election was stolen, without a doubt. The 2004 election wasn't stolen. Bush and his cronies just took advantage of the religious south (read: morons) and made the election about gay marriage and actually convinced some people that a war hero like John Kerry wasn't a patriot, while cowards like George Bush were American heroes. Give Rove credit, he took advantage of Bush's greatest asset: dumb Americans.

His profile from OSU indicates that he was very much involved in pre election debate. A former ACLU attorney specializing in voters rights.
