Once again the unintended consequences of poor preparation for a great disaster...
"Unintended" is debatable but either way, the point is why isn't anything being done for these people and for the region besides spraying Agent Orange II under cover of night. Why aren't these workers allowed to wear respirators? Why was the press blacked out? Why is there a no-fly zone over one of the islands?
I'd call this a cover-up of immeasurable and tragic magnitude and it's really hard for me to understand why the public tolerates it. The "incident" in the Gulf is a microcosm of everything that's wrong in our country.
People will care when it obviously hits their wallets I guess, which it will. That aspect is only a matter of time.
