Default CIA Director Forced Out

What a mess the Republicans are making of everything. If at a critical time, Bush couldn't even choose a competent person to run the CIA, no wonder 9/11 happened on his watch. Bush doesn't know what he's doing.

http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2006/...n1592486.shtml

The White House planned to quickly nominate a new CIA director to replace outgoing Porter Goss, who offered little explanation in announcing his resignation from the embattled agency.

...

While President Bush says the decision for Goss to leave was mutual, CBS News chief White House correspondent Jim Axelrod reports that U.S. officials familiar with the CIA say Goss was forced out.

Inside CIA headquarters, sources say, they couldn't be happier, reports Axelrod. Goss, a former CIA operative brought in 18 months ago to reform the agency, was disliked intensely. The former congressman was also supposed to smooth over relations between the White House and the CIA, strained in the run-up to the war in Iraq.

Incredible incompetence followed by incredible incompetence. Seems like the chimp has virtually no direct control of even the CIA, which has traditionally had a close relationship with the White House and now there's some sort of rift between the two. Unbelievable and very dangerous at a time when our troops are off in a foreign land fighting a ghostly international organization whose identity and structure can only be defined using delicate and effective intelligence gathering. How can these two government entities not be working harmoniously?

Are you referring to the ex-pesident Clinton?...the ex-president Clinton that is no longer president?...the Bill Clinton that is not George Bush Jr.?...the ex-president that has nothing to do with this issue?

On Friday morning, Porter Goss path crossed three men who were walking in line to attend the daily White House briefing.

The first in line was the President who smiled when he saw the CIA director, shook his hand and patted him on the back. “Good job, Gossy” and walked on.

The second in line was Rumsfeld, who just scowled when he saw Goss and continued on to the meeting.

The third man was Karl Rove. “Hay, Goss. Can’t you get your people to put a lid on it?” he said angrily after stopping.

“You mean Ray McGovern?” Goss answered apologetically. “He’s no longer my man. He’s been retired for some time.”

“Retired, shmired.
Your fired!”

If the people that worked under him hated him then he should be replaced, you don't want disgruntled employees working in CIA.

If the people that worked under him hated him he must be an ass hole, good riddance.

This is being linked to Duke Cunningham, prostitution and some other faux pas in this administration...very interesting how this is playing out, must make daddy very upset as the CIA was his baby and now George is rewarding incompetence on this very important position.

The confirmation hearings on this General that has been picked to run the CIA should really be interesting, how will that Gang of sore losing crybabys (Pelosi, Reid, Biden, Kennedy, Dean, Schumer, Clinton) and the rest of the Jealous b astard democrats attack this guy, will they want to degrade and destroy him because he is a decorated Serviceman.
They have been attacking Bush for years because he ISN'T a war hero.

The democrats don't want a military man, who do they want, maybe a Left Wing, Lesbian, One Armed, Blind, Haitian/Eskimo who can't speak English.

Patches Kennedy would be a good choice, (Hollywood would go along with it)

Evidently, you don't watch or read the news. There are a number of Republicans who are questioning this guy's appointment. Sometimes there are more then two options, hate Bush and attacking liberals.
