Drill in Alaska and build some new refineries.

Oil CEO's give it to you in the ass while environmentalists rape your wallet, damn them both!

Why won't they build more refineries? Also, how is drilling in Alaska going to help?

I believe the oil companies don't want to spend the money to build them and when they do you have some environmental group line the pockets of some politician to block it.

Alaska oil would not be part of Opec, maybe it wouldn't help immediately, but at least it would not be middle east oil.

Oh...the environmentalists are in the pols pockets? Who, specifically?

And, how long do you think our Alaskan oil reserves will last us, assuming we don't ship it to Asia?

I understand global demand for gas , my question is, when the iraq war is finished and they increase oil production, how much of an effect will it lower prices at the pumps.....

no, no...the Iraq war has nothing to do with oil production.
