Default Boy's toy-soldier hat banned

I'm glad this had a happy ending for this kid who was told to take his salute to the troops home a hat with toy soldiers on it. The toy soldiers had guns as most toy soldiers have but this was to much for the Nazi's that run his school in R.I.

Thankfully for the 8 year old the Army came through for him after they heard what happened.

David Morales: School Bans Boy’s Patriotic Hat (Video) Right Juris

David Morales is an eight (8) year old student at Tiogue School in Coventry. He and other classmates were assigned the task of making a hat to wear when meeting their second grade pen-pals from another school. David thought he would honor our Military by making his camouflage hat a bit more patriotic, only to discover he had violated the school’s zero tolerance policy.

Zero tolerance for weapons... the tiny plastic soldiers have "weapons"... wow. That is one heck of a leap.

Hmmm. Unintended or intended consequences? Well at least schools haven't started sending kids home for having American Flags on their shirts.............oh wait
