Local Tea Partiers turned against their one-time hero U.S. Sen. Scott Brown in Boston yesterday, decrying his “yes” vote on a financial reform bill now headed to conference committee in Congress.
“It was a betrayal,” said Janet Holmes, 55, of Gloucester - who hoped Brown would buck system. “I thought he was going to go down there and he would be the one to start saying, ‘no.’
He’s losing his way,” said Michael Mosca, 68, of Andover, who said the bill fails to shut off government funding to mortgage giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac - who Mosca views as responsible for the now-busted housing bubble. “His moral compass is moving in the wrong direction.”
To make things worse he is meeting with Obama.. oh the horrors.. so Brown is criticizing the name calling and finger pointing, but then points his finger at Obama... WTF it is so confusing.
Brown criticized Obama’s response to the oil spill during a series of interviews yesterday.
“Up to this point, I think there has been a lack of leadership on this issue,’’ Brown said on New England Cable News. “I think the time for the blame and finger-pointing is over
“We want answers, but to hammer the entire industry just to get a photo opportunity I don’t think is appropriate,’’ Brown said. “We need to work together to solve the problem and stop the name-calling and finger-pointing.’’
