CW: "Not really all that surprising, is it? Louisiana is a pretty red state."
Uh, yeah you did:
CW: "you always pick polls of random states to try to assert facts"
Boy, for someone who always lectures other on reading comprehension, you sure don't have terribly much of your own!
As I said, your reading comprehension is, truly, lacking.
Did you notice that nothing you quoted above says any poll is invalid?
The whole issue was what you were trying to prove by using the pools. Not too complicated, really.
If you're trying to prove Obama has handled the situation poorly, no poll is relevant, since that's just gauging opinion of how he has handled it.
If your point was about public opinion, a national poll would seem to make more sense than any state poll.
And if by choosing Louisiana you were trying to indicate something telling, since, as you later acknowledge, it's the state that has been most ffected by both, then, as I said originally, a poll of New Orleans and other formerly pro-Obama areas, which were actually hit by both, could be even more telling.
Is that really too hard for you to undestand? If people didn't like Obama before, we don't necessarily glean much information from them disapproving of his handling of the situation. If a poll of voters in a pro-Obama areas that were actually hit by both (unlike northern Louisiana) shows approval of his handling of the situation, we might not glean much, either. But what could be telling is if those affected, pro-Obama areas polled disapproval of hsi handling. Got it?
As I've already said:
"...Here, let me repeat, "...(formerly?) pro-Obama areas that were affected by both .... I thought that was the point you were trying to make by citing just Louisiana folks..."
If that wasn't the point you were trying to make, the whole matter is moot (though I'm not sure what your point was, if that's the case).
I'm not contesting what the nation might think -- particularly given that we seem to agree..."
