BP temporarily suspended its effort to contain oil leaking into the Gulf of Mexico this morning, after the specialty saw it is using to cut through a damaged pipe became stuck in the pipe, National Incident Commander Admiral Thad Allen said.

"It's not stuck, it's pinned between the portions of pipe it just cut. Come on man! Who doesn't know you have to account for the weight of the pipe above the cut?

This well is laughing at BP!"

BP = Beyond Pathetic

I wonder how these a-holes would feel if we took a hose, and started spraying their corporate HQ with crude, and their houses....

HOnestly.....

am I the only person who thinks that the only way to stop this leak is to get a tube a mile long...like a GIANT paper towel roll thats 40 feet wide, but made of alluminum, stick it over the well, and collect the oil as it comes up? The oil would all be contained and able to be siphoned off the top of the top.

its gotta be easier to do that than this crap they are trying.

Thats a really good idea, kind of a funnel right? to awaiting tankers.

I believe BP's next plan thou is to drain the Gulf and seel the waters in a giant tupperware container to keep it fresh, then smother the leak with a giant 500 ft goose feather pillow.

yeah...

but the reason they needed a clean cut was to get a proper seal for the cap. At this point they don't know if the cut will be clean or not. Meaning, they just made this oil leak 20% worse with no assurance of a proper seal. They esitmated that the success rate of the new cap was 50%....now...I bet its about 20%

(if you believe the #s they are reporting...which at this point, NOBODY does)

get them a GIANT STRAW, 1 mile long, and 50 feet wide, put it over the well, and siphon the oil from the top of the straw!!!!

NOW!
