The New York Times reported that BP halted its effort to plug the well when "engineers saw that too much of the drilling fluid they were injecting into the well had escaped along with the leaking crude oil."

A technician told the newspaper that pumping had to be halted while crew reviewed plans. “We’re still quite optimistic,” he told the New York Times, but cautioned: “It is not assured and its not a done deal yet. All of this will require some time.”

So, maybe they will do the "Junk in the truck" shot prior to the next attempt of the "Death from above" plan. Seems way to much mud is leaking out to hold back the oil/gas.

I was really hoping this would have done it today.
