Hold the drama queen BS, Harry. While Obama has performed miserably, he has only continued the miserable performance of the office for the past 30 years. But you're right (if not over-dramatic) about the failure of the White House in this matter, of course.

One thing, though. Don't let BP and Trans Ocean off the hook on this. They owned and operated the rig. They lied about the amount, though technically they didn't by using the lowest possible number of the flow rate range, but from an emergency responce perspective, they actually did lie because they knew that the quantity was very likely much higher. They lied because of liability reasons because the lower everyone thinks the number is, the lower their fines and liability is and that's criminal- not just against the laws of the US but against the laws of nature and survival. They said 5000 bbls but now estimates have put it at close to 10 times the amount. That would have gone a long way toward reducing the impact.

Either way, it was obvious that Obama didn't respond nearly adequately and the inaction and lack of co-ordination on the part of the government is heinous and negligent at least.

1). Harry, you are an idiot. Many dems gave had issues with Obama all along and been vocal about it. You just ignore it. I guess it's the Republican in you, assuming people will just fall in line unquestionably behind their party.

Not a republican, used to be a registered democrat, they left me when the Left Wing Dip *****s took them over, am now independent, vote many times for democrats in my local elections.

Can't stand the thought of the American People going to the polls and electing a President simply because of the way he looks and his ability to "talk pretty" the man is an unquailified f-cking jerk.

Don't know what happened to the Carville link but its been all over cable news, he was as much as telling Dreamboat Obama to get his a$s down to the Gulf and help BP or kick BP out and let the Army Engineers take over.

There are times when the Government should be involved in our lives for the good of the people, THIS IS ONE OF THEM.
