Default 300,000 jobs in public sector face the axe

No, not in the USA, but in the UK. But expect similar actions to ocurr around Europe and eventually, in the US.

300,000 jobs in public sector face the axe - Times Online

From The Sunday Times May 23, 2010

Jonathan Oliver, Political editor

"AT least 300,000 Whitehall and other public sector workers may lose their jobs as the coalition government sets to work cutting the £156 billion budget deficit.

As George Osborne, the chancellor, prepares to unveil the first £6 billion of cuts tomorrow, the full scale of the job losses that will follow has begun to emerge.

The initial savings to be announced will target such items as civil servants’ perks, which include taxis, flights and hotel accommodation."

Oh, I get it! I bring up something that threatens your livelihood and you bring up something that threatens mine!

How very mature of you PFiVA! But it has nothing to do with the thread topic which is about a REAL current trend.

Actually, what's happening in Britain doesn't threaten my livelihood, PR. Does the FDA regulating vitamins and supplements threaten yours? What regulations would you find it hard to comply with?

Under current FDA regulations, the vitamin industry complies with ALL FDA regulations. So I have zero problems with current FDA regulations.

But you keep bringing up issues that have nothing to do with my thread topic. Why? Something on your mind bro?

Certainly nothing we can discuss in your thread on public sector job loss in Britain.

I don't get it. 156 billion pounds? What's the big deal? Just borrow it from China and don't make a big deal about it and no one will care that China owns you.
