I love the ridiculousness of the assumption that anyone opposing gay marriage is "ignorant". Many of us are actually well-informed. We just disagree.
But you're forgetting that some liberals actually believe they are on the side of righteousness...even though there is no truth to such an assumption.
None...Nada...zero...

If you really think I said that, please quote that part of my post rather than making unfounded accusations.
You didn't say it directly, but if you hope that those who are against gay marraige drop dead, then by extension you're including the 70% of voting blacks in California, who voted GM there. Just as you hope I die, since I don't support gay marraige. All of this points to the absurdity of hoping people who don't agree with you, drop dead. Apparently when you can't convince people to think as you do, you'd just prefer they die. Now, imagine if someone like WolfPack said that. Do you think people would let it slide?

"The most difficult subjects can be explained to the most slow-witted man if he has not formed any idea of them already; but the simplest thing cannot be made clear to the most intelligent man if he is firmly persuaded that he knows already, without a shadow of doubt, what is laid before him." I'm pretty sure there is no logical reason to oppose gay marriage. None...nada...zero...
But if you think you have one, I'd love to hear it.
I don't oppose gay marriage at all...how's that for ya Jack? But no one can judge someone's opinion if you don't know their reason. If it's religious in nature, then I understand.
But you're prolly one of those who thinks "religion" is stupid.

I have no use for organized religion. I'd rather make judgments based on reason than on what some book says. But I don't fault others if that's their bag, as long as they don't try to peddle their wares to me.
Boy, I would just love to hear you expand on that line of reasoning.
<grabs popcorn>
You don't see a problem with removing the "traditional" tenets of marriage. Therefore, where do you draw the line at what constitutes a marriage? Is it solely between two people?

I actually hate when people preach as well. I have my own religious/spiritual beliefs and I'm very comfortable with them. I don't need anyone trying to "save" me!
But, I did answer your question, did I not?
