Which is why I don't get why voters aren't more adamant about campaign finance reform. Well, actually I do get it, but it's depressing to think about how easily voters can be distracted from salient big picture issues to other, short term issues.

Money is the biggest problem with our political system and it needs to be extricated ASAP.

This, of course leads me to one question. Why is it that when a "left wing extremist" b1tches about American corporate empire and corporate influence in American politics, right wingers always hand-wave the issue until a "socialist" (who is really a Republican) takes office?

Some here call me a "Rightie" and I complain about Corp-America all the time!

I'm not a big supporter of corporate giants...never have been.
