Default Sloppy Reporting, Sloppier Editing

From Fox News on the Sarah Palin hacker story:

Palin and her daughter Bristol testified during the trial, which lasted just a few days. Bristol Palin said she was distressed to find pictures of her newborn son in the public eye after her mother's e-mail was hacked. Defense attorneys argued Kernall, the son of a Democratic state lawmaker, was just committing a college prank

FOXNews.com - Palin E-Mail Hacker Convicted on 2 of 4 Charges

The emails went viral in mid-September of 2008, 6 months after Sarah's son, Trig, was born. Bristol Palin's son wasn't born until December 29, 2008 - long after the illegally obtained pictures in question went viral.

So, either Fox is confused and doesn't bother vetting or proof-reading what they print or they're trying very hard to restart the ugly rumor that Trig was Bristol's child in the first place.

Perhaps Fox should hire you Mrs. PF ... you can be their ombudsman .

I'm sure that from Fox's perspective there is nothing sloppy at all in the way this story was "reported". We need a quotey fingers icon.
