It's actually a pretty accurate metaphor about what's going in in general in Washington - our "representatives" go to Washington and experience the excesses of our society; in doing so, they lose sight of where they are and what their duty is.

If this guy doesn't have the self-control to refrain from this stuff AT LEAST where he works, he should be voted out. Anyone else would be fired if they looked at smut on the job.

Yup. Look at their policies. I haven't seen an idea come from the right that benefits the people at large in my lifetime, all the while they accuse the other guy of the very sins they commit. It's an absurd joke, and it's even worse that people buy it. As for coke and pepsi, I'm not sure what you're getting at there. I'm certainly not a proponent of a simplistic 2 party system, and not a huge fan of the Obama administration.
