Default Bill Cosby 'Speaks Truth to Power' in New Orleans

http://www.newsmax.com/archives/ic/2...500.shtml?s=ic

Bill Cosby lectured black residents of New Orleans over the weekend, saying their community was "wounded" by crime even before Hurricane Katrina ravaged the city and killed their neighbors.

"It's painful, but we can't cleanse ourselves unless we look at the wound," Cosby told the rally of about 2,000 people at the city's convention center, where thousands of Katrina evacuees had gathered seven months earlier.
"Ladies and gentlemen, you had the highest murder rate, unto each other. You were dealing drugs to each other. You were impregnating our 13-, 12-, 11-year-old children," he said, in quotes picked up by Reuters. "What kind of a village is that?"

Cosby is a man amongst men when it comes to speaking the truth to his people. Unfortunately we seem to be getting nowhere with African Americans valuing family and education which are the basis of a succesful life. It's a shame but with so many born to single mothers it's tough to get a good start (not that single mothers can't provide a strong foundation but it's a LOT harder).

Bill Cosby On Katrina,
Main Stream "Cute Perky Katie Media" didn't much care for what Cosby had to say, if you are a "Loopey Liberal" you won't want to hear it anyway, but if you should I would suggest you go to Fox News tonight, I doubt you will hear much more about it on CBS or CNN.

I'm pretty convinced Bill Cosby actually thinks he's Dr. Huxtable.

Better that than the secret agent tennis player he used to play.

Seriously, don't you find "Dr. Cosby" a bit of a blowhard? He's so full of himself. That said, the concern for the black community by some of the posters on this board is truly heartwarming.

A person tends to sound like a blowhard when he has to say the same thing over and over because it's the truth.

I forgot, only liberals can express concern for people of color and wish them success in life. My bad.
