It was disgusting, unethical and completely inappropriate journalism. In other words, it was typical NBC.

Of course, if he even hinted in his answer that he was sometimes uncomfortable, it would be the lead story on the national news.

ROLFMAO Get over it, Harry. When I got on the fire department people asked me all the time if I "felt uncomfortable." They asked me what I was doing there. They asked me if I was a lesbian. They asked me how I got treated. They asked me did I like it. They asked me anything and everything they could think of. Big deal. If you're there because you want to be - it ain't no biggie. If you believe with all your heart that you're glad to be there and that you belong there - you're more than happy to answer questions in the hope that others like you will feel the same freedom of choice. You end up going to schools and fairs and girl scout meeting and boy scout meetings and churchs and things - just to show kids and their parents what a great thing it is that you're doing - and to show them that they can do it, too.

Eventually the white Tea Partyers will get mad because the black Tea Partyers are getting all the attention. That's what happened with the guys on the fire department by the 4th or 5th time I got my picture in the local paper.

White people who marched in Selma got a lot of attention, too, remember?

Any one who does something unexpected gets attention. It goes with the territory. Apparently it was unexpected enough to see a black face at a Tea Party rally to garner attention.

That oughta tell you something.
