Default Report: Tea Parties created as GOP political ploy

GOP political consultant Joe Wierzbicki floated the proposal a year ago today to create the Tea Party Express, a nationwide bus tour to "give a boost to our PAC and position us as a growing force/leading force as the 2010 elections come into focus." His idea eventually became one of the best known brands in the Tea Party movement.

Report: Tea Parties created as GOP political ploy | Raw Story

The tea party express is a front for a republican PAC?

SHOCKER!!!!!

note to Tea Party people....you are being USED!

Some people still don't get what the Tea Party movement is all about. It's simply about taxpayer frustration at the status quo, and direction of this country. It's not about any particular politician, program, policy, or vote. It's about public anger at run away government, and the many out of touch politicians that run it.

hahahahhahah!

dude thats REALLY funny.

Its amazing that the Tea Party remained silent while Bush ran up an $8 trillion debt. Then somehow, when a democrat is in the white house, and the senate and house have a democratic majority...BAM...there is a tea party.

THEN documentation shows that the movement has been preverted by the GOP, who infcat staterted the "tea Party Express" and are using FOX news to promote it.

RW,

you can read the documents, or believe the BS you wrote...its really up to you.

then today we get a list of "Heroes" and "Targets"

wanna take a stab at who is on what side? just a wild guess before clicking the link?

Tea Party names its heroes and targets - CNN.com

this thing is getting pretty laughable...

but by all means...defend its 'grass-roots' to the bitter end for all I care.

not me, thats for sure.

But those like RW, who believe that this is some kind of spontaneous movement by patriotic americans. When in reality it is a way to create PAC $$ for the GOP on the fear being spread by 'news' outlets, half-term ex-governors, and Dick Armey.

read what RW said (dudes got a tea avatar for crying out loud) "It's about public anger at run away government, and the many out of touch politicians that run it. "

Thats all BS ... ALL OF THE SUDDEN the government is 'run-away' and NOW politicians are out of touch????

whaaaaa?

Thats like telling me that all of the sudden water is very 'wet'

If you gave money, or showed up at a tea-party express rally, you are an idiot.

here is the document that proves it: http://www.politico.com/static/PPM15...ess041709.html

(its only 3 pages long, I know how you tea party people hate to read)

Maybe the Tea Party Express portion of it was funded by GOP but there is a lot of it that's grassroots. And it started primarily in opposition to the ARRA.

Than why, pray tell, do they tell you to vote for certain candidates, target other candidates and consistantly and repeatedly slam certain political policies and progams?

Of course it's about particular politicians, programs, policies and votes. That's what every speech Sarah or anyone else gives is about. They are always endorsing candidates or appearing on behalf of candidates - how can you possible say it's not about candidates? They are also constantly offering opinion on policies and programs, for that matter. We need to "drill, baby, drill." We need to repeal health care. We need to pass stronger immigartion laws. We need to stop this, we need to start that.

Fer cryin' out loud, it's gotta be about politicians - how else is anyone going to change the "status quo" much less the "direction of the country?"
