Re: For You Pagans and Christians
Quote:
Acts 12:1-4 (King James Version)
Acts 12
1Now about that time Herod the king stretched forth his hands to vex certain of the church.
2And he killed James the brother of John with the sword.
3And because he saw it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to take Peter also. (Then were the days of unleavened bread.)
4And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people.

As you can see, the days of unleavened bread and Easter are TWO SEPERATE events.
The first day of unleavened bread was the last supper(which happens to be PASSOVER), and then the following 3 days of unleavened bread was the cruxifixion, death, and resurrection of Jesus.
Ultimately, it was DURING the days of unleavened bread when Peter was taken and put in prison. But it wasn't until AFTER Easter(seperate event) that he was brought forth to the people. Scripture above makes it clear. So ultimately, Easter is NOT the same as PASSOVER/Unleavened bread, and is a PAGAN holiday.
This is where the 1611 King James Version is very important, in the NIV, and other corrupt versions, they replace Easter with Passover. This is WRONG.(i.e. the NIV was the first of many corrupt versions - Wescott and Hort, the 2 guys who made this bible, were 2 high level occultists who were also friends with CHARLES DARWIN, of all people)
