I just feel like making the point that Progressive does not equal Liberal. They're two different things, there can be progressives inside the Republicans and Democrats. I know no-one here said otherwise but it seems like the trend to eliminate the word Liberal and repalce it with Progressive.

Being a Progressive is really the opposite of being a Constitutionalist, as you can see from the quote above. Yes - the VAST majority of Progressives are Democrats or Liberals but you can be a Republican and not be a Constitutionalist which makes you a Progressive too, what you want to "Progress" to would just be far different than most Progressives.
Think about it, "Progress" means different things to different people so it makes no sense for Progressivism to be exclusive to one party. Same with Conservatism, in fact.
