That's great news. After Bush funneled huge amounts to conservative churches, the tide has turned and groups like ACORN that fight for the rights of poor people will get some funding. ACORN is a very good organization, though out of their thousands of volunteers and part-time employees a few are dishonest.

Basically, yeah. We've somehow moved from immigrants coming over and working 18 hours for peanuts to welfare moms with free healthcare, 2 years on unemployment, EITC, all the freebees, not getting to live the life I want to but living off the rest of us just fine. Enough.

Thats what happens when you eliminate manufacturing jobs, outsource them to build your profit levels, and cut taxes on the wealthiest 1%...

we are left with no middle-lower class jobs, and no revenue to pay for those who can't find work. Add into that 2 wars, one of them MINDLESS...oh, and lets not bother to add any of that to the actual budget, lets call it 'discressionary spending'.

Its no longer 'theory'. The process has been put into practice over the last decade and the grades are in (F-minus).

Its a viscious cycle that has been created by a conservative philosophy. The basic, unspoken, intention of this agenda is to eliminate the middle class, export labor and import foreign educated workers. Its about as unamerican as it gets, yet a lot of people gravitate to this for some reason.

It's two different issues.

I am not in favor of exporting all our jobs and would like them back even if it caused higher than normal inflation.

However - we can't have more and more people willing to take the freebees because although they don't provide for a great life, they're not much less than minimum wage type jobs so who wants to work for that ? You don't work, you don't eat (adults). Quite simple. If there's no jobs, they'd better start working 40 hours a week for their handouts even if it's just picking up trash.

Notice your depends did not get into a bunch about this disengenuous thread with a misleading title.. however you were all atwitter yesterday about ACORN broke no laws in Brooklyn.. you make my point about selective outrage and while you criticize how partisan that was, you are silent on this thread.
