That was embarrasing for Biden...most things that come out of his mouth are...
As much as I enjoyed seeing Biden make a fool out of himself yet again, it's the sort of situation where it isn't even remotely his fault. It was a campaign stop so some local organizer probably told the Biden team "OK, and can you have Joe give a shout out to Chuck, who is a local pol?"
So they put a note in Biden's speech that says "give shout out to Chuck" and Joe has to act like they are life long friends when he has probably never even met the guy or anything like that. Needless to say, hilarity ensues But I think he did a good job and made a quick recovery.
