Default Sarah Palin Pimps the Tea Party

hopefully some other candidates emerge for the 2012 election ... Sarah is a pimp IMO.

Beginning Of The End: Sarah Palin Hijacks The Tea Party Movement

Quote:
The tea party movement is dead. The one I was familiar with anyway. Judson Phillips held it down and Sarah Palin drove a stake right through its heart live last night on C-Span in front of an unsuspecting audience.

Sarah Palin didn’t give a tea party speech last night. She gave a partisan Republican address. It was a purely political speech designed to position her for a presidential run in 2012 or 2016. Period. She wasn’t there to celebrate the organic nature of a movement she had nothing to do with creating. She was there to co-opt the name and claim the brand as hers. And she did.

And a well paid one at that seeing as how she took $100,000.00 from them before she did it.

I do not know if she is or is not a good candidate.. but find her duplicity this weekend obvious.. When she heard Emanuel used the word in a private meeting Palin quickly took to Facebook and, mentioning Emanuel by name, called on President Obama to fire him. When Limbaugh repeatedly used the term on his radio show(45 times??), Palin did nothing. Then, after being goaded by commentators, she had her spokesperson offer criticism of "demeaning name calling," never mentioning Limbaugh by name -- and even had her spokesperson phone Rush to assure him she hadn't used his name. Then, in an interview with Fox, Palin defended Limbaugh's use of "retards" as "satire." See "Retard Summit".. thanks Rushbo.. dittoheads unite.

People who do not understand power, bowing to the people in power and the need to perpetuate this status quo are not paying attention..

Cmon now tell us what she said about where the money goes (she donates it right back to the movement)

Don't worry Sarah won't run for president , she will never get nominated but she's going to drive the Liberals Insane, they're OBSESSED with her and she knows it, when she grins and winks that's a little zinger to MSNBC and Mush Mouth Matthews........

Sure Harry.

I mean, how much can she spend down at the local consignment store anyhoo? Also too, she's out of a job, and because of those Democrats she can't even get unemployment because she quit...

If that's really the case, Harry, why take it from them in the first place? Wouldn't it make more sense, tax-wise, popularity-wise and media-wise to just forego the payment and let them keep it with no strings attached?

Can an individual even donate a sum that large? I thought there were laws about how much an individual can donate to a political party.

Anyone got any info on that?

Ok, near as I can figure out an individual (such as Sarah Palin) can give $30,400 per year to a national political party - the rest would have to be dispersed to individual candidates and committees up to a maximum of $115,500.00 total for a year.

So, no, Harry, regardless of what she said, Sarah won't be rolling over her $100,000 speaking fee right back into The Tea Party - even if she does donate the whole thing it'll be at her discretion with the largest portion going to the candidates of her choice - which may not be the same candidates that The Tea Party supports - she's already come out for McCain and we all know how The Tea Party feels about McCain.

The FEC and the Federal Campaign Finance Law Brochure

As for doing what she says she'll do - she also said she'd be govenor of Alaska for 4 years, too, didn't she?

You see how well that worked out.

She reportedly received $100,000 for speaking at the convention -- a fee she said she would give right back to the movement.
"I'm not getting it," Palin said. "They're writing a check, a $100,000 check. And as I have said from day one on this, I'm turning right around and being able to contribute it back to the cause." Palin riled the crowd at the convention, at times throughout her speech, receiving standing ovations and chants of "Run, Sarah, run," in reference to the 2012 elections.

She's going to buy 1000,000 dollars worth of her own books with the money.
