Virginia Senate Passes Health Care Freedom Act|Tenth Amendment Center Blog

Quote:
Today the Virginia State Senate passed Senate Bill 283 (SB283) by a vote of 23-17.
Provides that a resident of the Commonwealth shall not be required to obtain or maintain a policy of individual insurance coverage. This applies regardless of whether the person has or is eligible for health insurance coverage under any policy or program provided by or through his employer or a plan sponsored by the Commonwealth or the federal government. The measure also states that no provision of Title 38.2 renders a resident liable for any penalty, assessment, fee, or fine as a result his failure to procure or obtain health insurance coverage.
Also passed today is SB310 and SB417, both of which provide “that a resident of the Commonwealth shall not be required to obtain or maintain a policy of individual insurance coverage.”
Pending in the Virginia house is House Bill 10, which is a proposal for a similar law.

You don't like to follow the intruction, do you?

If you don't like what and how i write, don't read.

As far as singular or plural goes, I used a word 'say' because it doesn't imply 'a person'.

When you write something about Patriots team, do you use a plural or singular 'verb' to describe an action.

This is interesting...I wonder if we will be seeing several more states do this. And, if congress passes the healthcare bill, would it be binding and over ride the states authority? I'm not sure how that would work.

It's nice to see the Democratic party commit Hari-Kari over a bill Americans plan on circumventing. Well played Dem's?
