First off the LA Times has lost all it's crediblity and should only be used as bird cage liner. Where exactly in this story do they have any proof or even a hint that this car was purchased by the government? None of course. BTW there are no "Homeland Security" Police or Agents. Homeland Security is just an umbrella name (like the Treasury, State, et al). If federal agents even responded (why would they come to a single car crash? what possible jurisdiction could they have), they could have been impostors (happens more often than you think) or they might have been Immigration agents, and seeing that no immigration law was broken, they left. Surely these guys are up to something fishy, however claiming that you are a snitch for another police entity is excuse #3 in the criminals handbook (right after "racial profiling" and "police brutality"). Once again all you have is the LA Times (incredibly uniformed) lying to the public. Although you have to love them trying to tie a car accident in California to Katrina, nice try.
