This whole thing would have never happened if it weren't for the fact that in 2004, the Legislature stripped the governor of his authority to name a temporary successor. They didn't want Romney choosing someone to take over for Kerry. Obviously Kerry lost so the whole exercise was meaningless.

It is sweet and poetic. Justice how the "Massachusettes" moonbats ended up in this mess because of their own dirty tricks.
