SD...If you REALLY want to know the truth about my views, you should look back a year or so ago at my posts. I backed Obama against everyone and anyone who disagreed. I took a fairly liberal view on all issues. AND....I voted for Obama!
Just ask Real World, Belichick Fan or PFiVA and they'll back me up. So you obviously don't know my history here, so I can't fault your opinion entirely. But I'll tell you that government spending as soon as Obama got into office combined with his insistance on passing any form of health care reform has driven me to the middle. I used to left-middle and now I'm moving the other way.
The reality of my personal experience is that no one can say it's right or wrong as neither party represents the more righteous party of American politics. 12 years ago, I made peanuts which in real terms was about $27k/yr. I'm 51 years old and I just recently started making good money. 12 years ago, I never thought I'd make as much as I'm making now. But that doesn't mean I'm wealthy...not by a long shot!
And because I never made good money until I was about 45 yrs old, I don't have much saved for retirement. The LAST thing I want to do is pay more taxes at this point in my life. I'll still have to work well past 65 and all I see is crippling national debt and increased taxes in my future. I'm a single guy, so my retirement is all dependent upon me.
So, yes, I'm pissed off! And I'm angry enough to change my views. Hopefully that's ok with you buddy!
