Default How Masha Coakley ignores rape of 23 month old girl.

Maraha... Marsha... Marsha....
You are lucky Scott Brown has taken the high road.
This would make a hell of an attack ad.

Some saw Coakley as lax on ’05 rape case - The Boston Globe

Quote:
In October 2005, a Somerville police officer living in Melrose raped his 23-month-old niece with a hot object, most likely a curling iron.

Keith Winfield, then 31, told police he was alone with the toddler that day and made additional statements that would ultimately be used to convict him.

But in the aftermath of the crime, a Middlesex County grand jury overseen by Martha Coakley, then the district attorney, investigated without taking action.
You are real tough on Crime Marsha....

Quote:
It was only after the toddler’s mother filed applications for criminal complaints that Coakley won grand jury indictments charging rape and assault and battery.

Even then, nearly 10 months after the crime, Coakley’s office recommended that Winfield be released on personal recognizance, with no cash bail. He remained free until December 2007, when Coakley’s successor as district attorney won a conviction and two life terms.

Default "Protection of a child rapist. Despicable."

A reminder of who is on the ballot for United States Seantor. How anyone in good conscience could vote for this person I have no idea.

The 2005 rape of a defenseless, 23-month-old girl with a hot curling iron by Keith Winfield, a Somerville, Massachusetts police officer, goes beyond disturbing. This is pure evil.
And Martha Coakley, who was then District Attorney, handled the vicious rape of this toddler leniently, some would even say ineptly. It is believed by many that Winfield’s father, a union representative, had personal ties to Coakley’s office and was raising funds for Coakley’s Attorney General campaign, so Winfield was allegedly being protected.

This person coakley is unfit for any office, if the bit about her sandbagging for this animal due to her ties to a union hack she should be in jail also, Given her support of PBA it isn't surprising she doesn't care about the torture and rape of children. Of course she is all for the rights of terrorist.

What a scumbag

Coalkey now does not want Catholics working in the ER, but she has no
problem protecting a Catholic priest during an election.

Martha Coakley Made a Deal with a Pedophile in 1995 - Associated Content - associatedcontent.com

Quote:
Ms. Coakley looked at lot different in 1995 when her approach wasn't so law abiding. Geoghan was being looked at for several acts of pedophilia including acts that involved three grade-school brothers. These boys told investigators that Geoghan had inappropriately touched them during visits to their house in Waltham, MA. They claim he made lewd phone calls to them. Coakley didn't prosecute. Rather she decided to let this disgusting pedophile get a year of probation which garnered no media attention. There were no formal charges and no criminal record for the priest.
I wonder why?

Quote:
At the time, Ms. Coakley was the front-runner in a special election for the United States Senate. She never followed up with the Boston Archdiocese regarding if there had been any earlier complaints against the priest. The public at the time had no idea that the archdiocese had thousands of documents regarding abuse complaints against Geoghan made by dozens of people going all the way back to the 60s!
Oh.... She did not want to upset the Catholics....

Quote:
Ms. Coakley has defended all her acts and the ways she handled the case. She also, appallingly, said that she "successfully negotiated specific terms of Geoghan's pretrial probation - a routine way of expediting minor criminal cases - requiring Geoghan to undergo psychiatric testing and be barred from unsupervised contact with children for a year." She calls this a minor criminal case? Her defense was that the boys didn't say that the touching by the priest would indicate assault and battery. Is she serious?
Sad.... Real Sad.....

OMG! It is almost beyond belief that someone could do that to a child. And for Coakley to let it slide? How can she live with herself? And I can't believe this never came out? Wait, with out media, thats something I actually can believe.

Uhhh, every criminal mentioned so far in this thread either died in jail or ain't getting out anytime soon. I know some of you would prefer that convicted criminals all be executed on TV with full color photos in the next day's Herald; but securing long jail sentences for serious criminals is considered a plus to everyone who's not a neocon whackjob.

Lets not forget that Coakley was putting criminals behind bars all the way back when Brownie was busy posing for Playgirl.

Yeah uhhh, he was sentenced to 2 life terms but, Coakley tried her damnedest to sweep the whole thing under the rug before it went to trial. Another thing she failed at.

So tell it to the Amiraults who served decades or died in prison for a crime they didn't commit.

Superior Court Judge John Paul Sullivan reduced Violet and Cheryl’s sentences, but the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court reversed that ruling in 1993. In 1995, after serving eight years in state prison, Violet and Cheryl were freed on a successful appeal. A Lowell Superior Court judge ruled that their convictions were wrongful because they were not able to directly confront their accusers. However, the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court reinstated the conviction, citing the need for "finality." While awaiting this verdict, Violet Amirault passed away. After this, another judge, the Honorable Isaac Borenstein, granted two separate motions for new trials. Judge Borenstein held that the children's interrogations was so tainted by "grave errors" in the investigation process that it could not be used in any new trial. He explained that:
These grave errors led to the testimony of the children being forever tainted. The only allegations made by the child witnesses occurred after they were subjected to the admittedly suggestive interviews, and investigative techniques, as well as inappropriate - even if understandable - influence by their families. Moreover, neither behavioral symptoms nor physical evidence which may be consistent with child sexual abuse were revealed until after the children and their families were subjected to these improper interviewing and investigative techniques. These alleged symptoms were only discussed after the families were overwhelmed by the panic, hysteria and media attention that snowballed this case into national headlines and widespread concern about ritualistic sexual abuse of children.

Wall Street Journal reporter Dorothy Rabinowitz, who won a Pulitzer Prize for her coverage of bogus sex abuse cases, recently told The Boston Globe of the Amirault case, “Martha Coakley was a very, very good soldier who showed she would do anything to preserve this horrendous assault on justice.” According to journalist Mark Pendergrast, Coakley herself prosecuted another questionable child abuse case in 1993, using the same recovered-memory testimony and now-discredited methods of questioning children to convict Ray and Shirley Souza of molesting their grandchildren.

It’s probably not surprising, then, that as DA in Middlesex County, Coakley opposed efforts to create an innocence commission in Massachusetts, calling the idea “backward-looking instead of forward-looking.” Of course, that’s sort of the point — to find people who have been wrongfully convicted. So far, there have been at least 23 exonerations in Massachusetts, including several in Coakley’s home county.

She's corrupt and inept to say the least.

Falls on deaf ears my friend. They don't hear cause they don't want to. That's why it's time for us to take our country back from these lunatics. It starts here and it starts Tuesday. If the Libs aren't scared yet, they soon will be.

The fells acres stuff always shows the ignorance of the right..

To politicize this without adding that the victims never recanted any of their stories, makes one believe that there is more to this than meets the eye..

"Tookie" Ameriault is now classified as a level 3 sex offender, Coakley oppose his parole as she had the responsibity to represent the victims who were opposed to his release...

If she did not oppose his release there would have been a greater outcry.. "Tookie" was found guilty by a jury of his peers, and lost his appeals.. he is still guilty.

Coakley is a mediocre candidate who has run a shytty campaign, but to politicize Fells Acres without taking into account the victims and their desires is epic fail.

Maybe next time you need a babysitter for your kids, call "Tookie" and he can come over and entertain them in a clown suit...
