Default Vaccine Liability Protection

http://www.gallatinnewsexaminer.com/...05/1309/MTCN04

Frist and Hastert sneakily insert last minute vaccine liability protection into the Defense Bill.

And how appropriate considering that Gulf War Syndrome is thought to be linked to an anthrax vaccine. http://www.autoimmune.com/GWSGen.html

These guys have no shame. They serve the pharmaceutical lobby first and foremost.

We need to limit liability in these instances so that corporations are not risk-averse to developing vaccines for threats such as avian flu. The John Edwards' of the world don't need the extra billion$ in lawyers' fees as much as mankind needs new vaccines.

Yes, we need to protect the corporations at the expense of our soldiers. In Pissah's imaginary world, pharmaceutical companies haven't been developing new drugs for years because lawsuits made them risk averse.

Those poor poor pharmaceutical corporations. They are barely making ends meet! How could they absorb the shock of a lawsuit?

Now, the Vioxx scam should be enough to get people pissed. To wake america up to this crime. But thats not enough. We should feel sorry for an industry that puts 15% of its revenues into research and development, 35% into marketing, and the remaining into the CEOs and profits.

But you are right PWP, they must be struggling to get by. We can't worry about safety. Especially since the FDA has become a regulatory joke.
