Default Need a Healthcare vote? Buy off a Democrat.

The $100 Million Health Care Vote? (ABC News. That's right, ABC News)

Gee, who didn't see this coming?

Quote:
How much does it cost? According to the Congressional Budget Office: $100 million.
Looks like it took a substantial bribe for Democrat Mary Landrieu's vote.

One guy who is absolutely bought is Lieberman.
Tons of insurance companies in Connecticut... he is their bought man.
He's so bought that despite public record of his pledges for universal single-payer during his 2006 election campaign, he's doing a 180 now.

Hmmmmm.......What was the name of the lone Republican who voted in favor of the Healthcare house bill?

Congressman Joseph Kao, right? I think that's right. Yes, Joseph Kao.

Let's see, where was he from again?

Oh wait!! I remember!!!

Louisiana!!

What an amazing coincidence!! I'm surprised you didn't mention it, ljuneau, you're usually so precise about things.

Every line written here needs a link for the Dems. It gets really tiring when they could look it up for themselves.

This is more evidence to me why we need a small federal government, much lower taxes at the federal level and no pushing of money down to the state level. The feds can pay for what they're supposed to, national defense, interstate highways, etc, and the states should do what they need to do for education, healthcare, etc. The states would have to raise taxes but we'd be paying far less in federal taxes and we wouldn't have tall this ridiculous corruption, favors, buying of votes, etc.

The sheer size of this piece of legislation is evidence enough of it's fraud!

Right, coz we all know there's no corruption, favors or buying of votes at the state level. Just look at Illinois, for instance. Model state government, that, yes?
